Sitecore Indexes Fail To Display In Index Manager

This appeared to be an issue on my customer’s Production environment with Sitecore 9.1.1 as the environment leveraged SearchStax as an external Solr provider.

In the Sitecore CMS Production instance, the Index Manager index listings timed out on the Production environment due to its attempt to connect to the private IP address of the Solr SearchStax connection in SolrCloud (cluster) mode.

The patch is applied to Sitecore 9.1 CM PROD to address the timeout issue. This issue was not occurring on CM UAT and our team was not able to replicate this issue. Don’t ask me why as Sitecore Support and SearchStax Support were not able to figure this one out.

Thankfully to Sitecore Support, they were able to provide me with a hotfix to address the timeout issue on the Index Manager listings. šŸ™‚

Unfortunately, I am not able to share the support patch here due to confidentiality and security reasons mentioned by Sitecore. However knowing that there is a patch available, you may contact them directly to obtain this patch for your system.

Result of this fix: Listing of all Sitecore indexes appear on the Index Manager Dialog popup.
